Want to find out more about aboriginal issues? The St’át’imc Runner is the monthly Newspaper for the Interior Salish, or Lillooet Tribe. The Runner reflects the day to day issues of the St’át’imc people, and also features current stories on aboriginal communities throughout Canada and the World.

St'át'imc (pronounced Stat-lee-um) is a nation of people affected by BC and Canada’s assumption of jurisdiction in their homelands. From water pollution to logging, mining and hydro, from children and families issues to treaty, from impacted food sources and otherwise traditional places, The St’át’imc Runner carries the nation’s news.

The Runner voices the concerns of a people on the sustainability of the land. Protecting the land is considered a duty, both to Mother Earth and to generations to come. Traditional St’át’imc knowledge is one of the best environmental resources.

The Runner is an inclusive newspaper that can give non-natives an inside glimpse of a dynamic aboriginal culture. Get a St’át’imc perspective on issues including: Aboriginal Title and Rights, Fisheries Management, St’át’imc Land Use Plans, Government-to-Government Negotiations, Water, Culture and Spirituality, Economic Development and environmental responsibility.
