Have you "VOTED" yet?
Remember
Democracy works when we all participate and make it work.
The Wilderness Committee believes that everyone - including you - should have a say in the future of the Stoltmann Wilderness. In 1998, the Committee published 80,000 Stoltmann Opinion Postcards pre-addressed to Prime Minister Chretien and Premier Clark. Simply register your vote on the back of the postcards for-or-against the preservation of the Stoltmann Wilderness as a National Park and drop them in the mail.
To get your free set of Stoltmann Opinion Postcards, or to get a bundle to distribute to your friends and neighbours, use the tear off order form on the back page of this newspaper or phone us toll-free at 1-800-661-9453 and we will send them to you right away.

It took millenia for the temperate rainforest of the Stoltmann Wilderness to reach its complex climax state of today. It has trees of varying ages and a rich canopy with species yet to be discovered.

In a few months of chainsawing, healthy trees that were many hundred - some more than a thousand - years old are cut.

A few months later the clearcut is done, roads are well established and some of the Stoltmann's most magnificent forest has been trucked away.
