Trailbuilding and hiking trips in the summer
August 6-10 | August 11-17 | August 18-24 | August 25-31
Clayoqout Sound
This year the Wilderness Committee will be organizing various trips to Clayoqout Sound to restore the board walk and hiking trail. We will have a semi-permenant camp for the duration of the summers trail building. The work will be fairly physical however there will be very little backpacking. The trail work will be in the mountains surrounded by old-growth forests. There is a lot of work that will need to be done and we will need many volunteers. Come be part of the history of Clayoquot Sound.
August 30-September 7
Upper Melvin Creek
Heading up into the alpine region of Melvin Creek the Wilderness Committee and a group of hardy volunteers will be trail building. The work will be reasonably difficult and backpacking experience will needed, however the views will be worth it.
If you are interested in any of the trips, or if you have any questions, please contact us as soon as possible so that we
can secure a spot for you in any of the trips. Trail building be an experience that you never forget!
