Help with booths
Keep up the good work! Enjoy the compliments you get at the booth. Learn how important it is to keep connected to the community and help raise awareness about wilderness preservation and wildlife protection.
Job description:
Set up, run and take down the booth. At some booths you will do sales, encourage new memberships
and donations, at others you will only ask for signatures for a petition, inform and hand out
information.

Distribute our Educational Reports
Join the Grassroots Distribution Team with more than 250 members and help to get the message out to the grassroots.
Job description:
Build-up and maintain network of contacts in your community to distribute our Educational Reports
and opinion poll cards. Donate some store or company space to display for distribution.

Mail room work
Day Team
People with disabilities can volunteer on a regular basis to do mailroom work. This program runs
Tuesdays to Fridays from 2 - 5pm. Space for this program is limited. Please contact the volunteer
coordinator for more details and availability of space on this program.
You will perform tasks like stuffing, labeling and bundling of envelopes, WCWC newspapers or householders. You must have the ability to stuff, fold, stamp and collate.
Volunteers Nights
Every Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm - 9.30pm a team of dedicated volunteers stuff and
label letters/envelopes and educational material to promote wilderness preservation. An opportunity
to socialize and discuss environmental issues with like minded people. Get going on some envelopes
or chill-out and mail-out after he long day of work in a fun and easy-going in Gastown office.
Pizza is served.
Extra help needed
During October, November and December our 'mailing machine' goes into high gear and we need more
people for our Volunteer Night and Daytime Teams. In this period we change our daytime hours
from 1 - 4pm to 9.30am - 5pm! Please contact the volunteer coordinator for schedules or sign up if
you want to be contacted about this.
Location mail room work
The Volunteer Night teams, Day team and the mailroom helpers do their work at our office on
the 4th floor of 341 Water St. (Gastown), Vancouver. This is half a block away from Waterfront
SkyTrain and SeaBus Station. Stay on the North site of the street, walk to the East and look for the
blue framed door with our name on it.
Help at Events
Help in a team to prepare or run an event, or assist a campaigner: this job requires well organized and enthusiastic individuals. Your participation will be crucial at community events to raise public awareness. Specific events will take place throughout the year, including summer holiday periods. This can be physically demanding work.
Note: opportunites to help with events come up from time to time.

Pickets and Rallies
Sign up and be there when it really matters! Let people know how you think about wilderness issues and help raise awareness about wilderness preservation and wildlife protection.
Putting up Posters
Take your share of posters and put them up through at the places we need to be up. Posters need to be put up on short notice or in advance.
