A Will for Wilderness
Supporting the Wilderness Committee with an arranged or planned gift for the future (such as a bequest or a gift of assets) can help you to work towards your personal financial goals, and leave a legacy for the protection of Canada’s wild places. Planned gifts allow the Wilderness Committee to build our long term financial security, thereby increasing our ability to campaign on behalf of our members for wilderness and wildlife preservation.
There are a number of options for planned and long-term gifts, including:
- Making a bequest in your will for a specific sum or a portion of your estate
- Making a gift of assets such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds
- Naming the Wilderness Committee as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or RRSP
If you are making a bequest to the Wilderness Committee in your will, the correct legal name for the
organization is Western Canada Wilderness Committee and the address of the main office is:
227 Abbott Street
Vancouver BC V6B 2K7
For more information, or to discuss making a bequest or other planned gift to the Wilderness Committee, please contact our Comptroller, Matt Jong, at (604) 683-8220, or toll free at 1-800-661-9453.
