Right from the start in 1980, volunteers have played a key role in the Wilderness Committee. Our successes couldn't have been achieved without the help, energy and skills of our volunteers. The Wilderness Committee is a citizen-funded charitable organization and every day, people of all ages and backgrounds help us preserve more and more of Canadian and international wilderness.

The Wilderness Committee has offices throughout Western Canada. Consider where you would like to volunteer and check out the volunteer programs for the following offices:

Vancouver(BC)
Victoria(BC)
Winnipeg(MB)

You are not living close to any of the above offices, you can still do a lot! We organize Trail club expeditions you can take part in. But you can also start a letter writing campaigns. On our websites you can find lots of information about our campaigns. How about an internship? You see, not being close to one of our offices shouldn't be a discouragement for getting involved.

Outside Canada
You live outside of Canada and plan to visit in the near future? Please contact the city of your choice and we should be able to work something out. We do international internships.
