South Moresby
Monday, October 15, 1984
This is a 1984 Wilderness Committee education report about the growing support within the federal government of Canada for the South Moresby area to be granted some kind of park status. However, the government of BC continued to push hard for the area to be logged. The campaign met with success in 1987 when the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site was designated. See our History and Achievements page.
