This Douglas fir forest located at the base of Ford Ridge, adjacent to Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park has been marked out for logging - even though it is in a Wildlife Habitat Area recently designated by the BC government for the protection of spotted owl habitat.

Concerned residents from the Post Creek cabin owners contacted the Wilderness Committee as soon at the flagging tape was hung in the forest by the Tamihi Logging Company.
