View your 2015 Wilderness Committee calendar through a new lens

Friday, February 13, 2015

Did you know that you can scan your 2015 Wilderness Committee calendar with your smartphone to unlock videos, photos and online information about our campaigns?

Well, you can!

This year’s Canada’s Endangered Wilderness and Endangered Wildlife Calendars were created using Layar interactive print technology.

By scanning the calendar cover or pages with the Layar app, you can connect with us instantly online, where you’ll find detailed information, videos and other links related to the wild places and species you care about.

Just look for the blue Layar icon in your 2015 Wilderness and/or Wildlife Calendar and start scanning!

Here’s how to get started:

1) Download the Layar mobile app.

2) Scan the image below – or any image with the Layar icon in your 2015 Wilderness Committee calendar.

3) Follow the links through the app to access helpful information about the campaigns, threatened places and species featured in our calendars.

Since this technology is still so fresh, we need your help to spread the word! Do you know other friends or family members who use our calendars? Let them know about this cool new feature!

We encourage you to take a few moments to explore your Wilderness Committee calendar using the Layar app.

Got feedback? Let us know what you think about the new interactive features, and different ways you’d like to see it used in the future. Send your questions and/or suggestions to info@wildernesscommittee.org or give us a call at 1-800-661-9453.

Please stay tuned for more information and special online offers in the months to come. Until then, happy scanning!
