Trail Building: Flores Island

Wilderness Committee event
Friday, August 25, 2017 - 9:00am - Monday, August 28, 2017 - 5:00pm

Location: The Ahousaht Wild Side sits in the heart of Clayoquot Sound, between the highest mountains on Vancouver Island and the open Pacific Ocean.

Originally established in 1996, the Wild Side connects a series of beaches along the west coast of Flores Island in Flores Island Provincial Park. We will be accessing the trail from the village of Ahousaht.

About: We’ll be repairing and upgrading the Wild Side Trail. Our volunteer teams will camp along the trail and work under the guidance of Ahousaht Guardians to do maintenance work on the Wild Side, which has become a focal point of Ahousaht’s tourism industry.
