Worth More Standing Rally

A movement led by volunteers from Rainforest Flying Squad, Fairy Creek Blockaders; Elders for Trees, ForestMarchBC BC and numerous other groups are marching on the Legislature and are asking you to join us.  This is a rallying cry for support, not only at the blockades but also in all BC’s watersheds; this is our response to Premier Horgan’s “New” approach to forestry and yesterday’s disappointing press conference. This is for the 9 out of 10 British Columbians who want to save old growth, biodiversity, primary forest systems, and the essential benefits they provide, this is for all of us, so let’s all pitch in for this last stand!

Recently the Victoria forest protection team of organizers has pulled off many rallies from 300-1000 participants, .Last week over 2000 attended the blockades, and next Friday we want 10,000!

Please inform your membership via email or social media that this massive rally, accompanying press conference, display of music and presenters is in solidarity with the protestors at Fairy Creek, including First Nation, youth, elders, the 151 arrested.  But is it also in support of the 92% of British Columbians who want to protect old growth and the millions of us who rely on intact watersheds.

May we ask all of you individuals from the Forest March BC 2020 Victoria rally organizing team to connect with this #WorthMoreStanding group, and assist in supplying members, speakers, signage, amenities,  ideas and support.

Please stay tuned for the imminent official press release for the event.

We look forward to any suggestions assistance you may have in spreading the word or on the actual day if so; please contact Sally sallyeglover@gmail.com and Katherine, forestcougarcat@gmail.com, the lead organizers for the events ‘day-of’ activities.

If you are an ENGO, environmental or stewardship organization, PLEASE support this community driven grassroots rally, and share the invitation and media release when posted.  We need to be united and louder more than ever.
