West Vancouver's Ancient Forest

This is a 1990 Wilderess Committee education report, that was co-published with the Friends of Cypress. The report describes how an area of old growth forest located just outside the boundaries of Cypress Provincial Park was threatened by a proposal to build a golf course. A referendum by the District of West Vancouver would put the question of the golf course to a public vote.
In November of 1990 this campaign met with success when the vote turned the golf course proposal down, saving the old growth forest.
