The lecture, entitled "The Current Crisis at BC Hydro: Can it Be Resolved?", addresses the economics and impacts of current hydroelectricity policy and river privatization in BC. Dr. Calvert is a former Wilderness Committee director, and is the author of the book Liquid Gold: Energy Privatization in British Columbia.
