Video: Logged and burned spotted owl forest in Spuzzum Valley

Tuesday, June 04, 2019

Joe Foy heads up the Spuzzum Creek logging road located in the Fraser Canyon near the town of Yale. He finds an area of spotted owl habitat that had been logged two years ago. Foy is shocked to see that the cutblock had dried out and caught fire last year burning down to bare rock. The cutblock, marked SP204 is adjacent to a protected forest area.
