End Logging in Duck Mountain Provincial Park

Why this matters

Logging provincial parks remains a shameful reality in Manitoba, where we are one of the only jurisdictions in the world to allow it. American corporation Louisiana-Pacific holds the logging licence to log Duck Mountain Provincial Park. The previous NDP government ended logging in all other parks in 2009, and the time has come to end the destruction in Duck Mountain. 

In 2024, First Nations finally won the legal right to care for their territory. Whether a park is cared for by First Nations or the Manitoba Government, all parks should be protected from logging.
