Be someone nature can count on

Looking to take action for nature and wildlife? Join us behind the scenes as a volunteer. We need support with events, getting our publications out into the right hands, and connecting new people to the movement. It’s a great way to build skills, meet more people passionate about protecting the environment, and be part of making change. We’ll back you up with training, support — and yes, a few fun perks too.

Community Outreach

Ever feel that buzz at the rally? The rush of being part of something bigger? As a community outreach volunteer, you help keep that energy alive by collecting signatures and signing people up for updates. Along the way, you’ll build communication skills and meet people who share your passion. The only requirement is a passion for change. We’ll train and support you each step of the way.

Events Support

Every rally and demonstration depends on a strong volunteer team. There's a place for everyone, from planning logistics to filling key roles on the day. We need artists for sign-making, marshals to keep rallies safer, drivers to move gear and so on. Join us at the heart of the next action. No experience needed — we’ll show you the ropes!

Office Support

As an office volunteer, you’ll help us send mail like fundraising appeals, campaign reports, and thank you letters that keep donors and supporters engaged. Think stuffing envelopes and assembling charming handmade packages. Available only at our Vancouver office.

Grassroots Distribution Team

Get the word out in your community about environmental issues. Our Grassroots Distribution Team (GDT) helps our latest publications reach thousands of readers in coffee shops, workplaces and local libraries — anywhere our volunteers think nature-lovers might hang out.

Join Our Field Program

Experience the areas we’re working hard to protect. We bring passionate supporters out to witness spectacular wilderness areas at-risk of being destroyed, and support First Nations partners to build and restore trails that provide access to their lands.

"Volunteering with the Wilderness Committee has been an amazing experience! I’ve met inspiring people, gained new skills and felt the impact of my efforts in real-time. Knowing I’m helping to protect the wilderness in Canada keeps me motivated!"

Alex, Volunteer

“My spouse and I were happy to put up posters for the old-growth rally. It was a fun thing for us to do together. We want people to know about these family-friendly events because the vibe is — the more the merrier.”
