National Campaigns
Working towards a wild future
Nature, wildlife and the climate must thrive for the survival of all peoples. We’ve been working to preserve biodiversity across Canada: from towering old-growth forests that line the coast and valleys of British Columbia, to rocky shores of Hudson Bay in Manitoba and fragile wetlands in Ontario.
Our national campaigns bring local facts and voices to the federal government. We advocate for federal laws and initiatives that protect nature and at-risk wildlife habitat, whether it’s through national protected areas co-managed with Indigenous Nations or enforcing the Species At Risk Act. With more than 60,000 supporters from coast to coast to coast, we’re changing the system that extracts, destroys and destabilizes the ecosystems we depend on for survival.
Every inch of Canada is on the territory of First Nation, Inuit and Métis peoples. The Wilderness Committee upholds Indigenous sovereignty and their right to self-determination, including decision making over their lands and resources.

One Crisis
Whether you’re buying eggs and groceries or paying your rent, for the vast majority of us the cost of living is hard to ignore. In the last federal election, pollsters and politicians trumpeted the message that the cost of living is the single most important issue facing voters. They had numbers to back it up: one poll highlighted that nearly three-quarters of people in Canada had cost of living as their top issue heading into the federal election.
However, this framing forcefully separates the cost of living from other challenges, like our already changing climate. And this distinction is artificial.
