The 2012 Canada’s Endangered Wilderness Calendar front cover is a Carr Clifton shot from northern BC of the wild Iskut River, an area imperiled by mining, gas and industrial power.

Inside, images include two by famous landscape photographer Mike Grandmaison highlighting important campaigns to save Canada’s unparalleled boreal forest and to preserve Saskatchewan’s grasslands both.

Also featured is an expansive shot of the Arctic under threat from climate change by well-known nature photographer John Marriott, along with beautiful images of the South Okanagan and the Peace River by BC outdoor photographer Graham Osborne. One of our most dedicated wilderness photographers, Jeremy Sean Williams, is featured with an image of the old-growth forest in the Bugaboos of BC.

We are very proud of Garth Lenz’s shot of the Peace Athabasca Delta in Alberta, which is under massive threat from the expansion of the tar sands. Garth has just recently won first place with his images of the tar sands and related boreal issues in the Social Democracy Net’s "Ten Years After Nine-Eleven: Searching for A 21st Century Landscape", in New York. Lenz is also a fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP).

The 2012 Canada's Endangered Wild Life Calendar front cover is an image captured by nature photographer Don Johnston showing the magnificent polar bear now under scientific studies for conservation.

Inside images include the adorable black-tailed prairie dog by talented photographer Roberta Olenick, the iconic killer whale and grizzly bear by John Marriott, a horned grebe by award-winning natural history photographers Rebecca and Glen Grambo. Also featured is a very special shot of a short-eared owl by the Canadian wildlife specialist Dr. Wayne Lynch. One of our favourite images is a shot by wildlife photographer Robert McCaw of a five-lined skink. Robert’s images have been published many times by Canadian Geographic. All the species featured are listed with COSEWIC (Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada).

Both of our environmentally-friendly calendars are produced on Mohawk Loop paper from Unisource Canada which is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper with 100% post-consumer recycled content, processed chlorine free with vegetable-based inks and varnishes, which saves trees, energy, landfill space and water.
