Rally and March for the Fraser Delta

Action to Stop Port Expansion!

Delta is the "eye of the hurricane" when it comes to the expansion of BC's coal exports, the industrialization of farmland, the loss of rights for temporary migrant workers, pollution and destruction of critical habitat. It's also a major foreign trade zone (corporate paradise from regulations), preparing for freeway expansion and the continued construction of the South Fraser Perimeter Freeway, which is taking up valuable land and threatening Burns Bog.

On Saturday, June 16, Join Tria Donaldson of the Wilderness Committee for a rally and march against the expansion of coal exports through the Deltaport terminal. We'll meet at 1 p.m. at Magee Park in Ladner - just south of Ladner Trunk Road on Arthur Drive. It's easy to access by transit,
foot or bike. Parking is available nearby.

Coming from Vancouver by transit?

Take the Canada Line to Bridgeport Station. The 12:30 p.m. #601 bus from Bridgeport Station (Bay 7) takes you to Ladner. There is a bus stop right across the street from Magee Park (Arthur Drive & Ladner Trunk Road). You can also board this bus at the Ladner Exchange at 12:52 p.m.

Sponsored by the Council of Canadians.
The Council of Canadians is non-partisan and focuses on building grass-roots movements to oppose corporate globalization and work together to build a better world.

We need to stand up and take action to protect the land and our community.

We say no more!
