Banner drop for old‑growth

Forest minister Ravi Parmar continues to push the same tired messaging about old-growth to both the public and fellow MLAs. He needs their support to keep logging with the status quo – but those other MLAs can be influenced by highly visible public pressure from their own communities.
That’s where you and I come in
We’re organizing a banner drop for old-growth to show that people here care about protecting these forests. Creating local attention makes it impossible for politicians to dismiss constituents and easier for supportive MLAs to push back internally.
Some MLAs care about old-growth. Some MLAs care about what their communities think. Some MLAs care about keeping their seats. The more noise we make locally, the more pressure they feel to listen and act.
The goal is to build a community of people willing to stand up for old-growth forests together.
How does this help protect old-growth?
The banner drop is a step in the process.
Every visible action helps break the silence around old-growth logging. It reminds people that others care deeply and are ready to act.
Help us build momentum, meet good people and make some noise for the forests.
