Words for Walbran

A photo of a giant tree in the Walbran Valley, There is a sign in front of it that says "Emerald Giant." A graphic like ripped paper accompanies it, with text on it that says "Words for Walbran. Monday, November 2, 7-8 P.M. 618 Yates St. Wilderness Committee office, Victoria. Photo credit: Dave Hutchinson." End of image description.

Proposed cutblocks are threatening Kax:iks (the Walbran Valley). Join us to learn more about what’s happening and make our voices heard on the LAST DAY before the comment deadline!

The event will start with a short talk featuring longtime Walbran activists, stewards and Wilderness Committee's Forest Campaigner. They will share the area's history, decades of work to protect it, the context behind the proposed logging and what's at stake. Then we’ll get to writing!

We recommend bringing a laptop if you have one. Snacks and warm beverages will be provided.

The deadline is fast approaching and we need as many voices as possible! Come learn, connect and take action with us.
