Ecological impacts of the Enbridge Parkway Pipeline Expansion

Friday, March 13, 2020

On March 12, our Ontario Campaigner Katie Krelove presented at a community information event in Toronto on the ecological impacts of this gas pipeline expansion.

The Dawn-Parkway pipeline would increase fracked gas imports from the US and allow greater use of gas-fired power plants in Ontario, growing greenhouse gas pollution by more than 300 per cent by 2025. In addition, the pipeline construction would take place on ecologically significant wetlands. This is unacceptable in a climate emergency.
