POLICY DIRECTOR FOR THE WILDERNESS COMMITTEE IS GIVING THE GOVERNMENT AN "F" LETTER GRADE WHEN IT COMES TO MANAGING B-C PARKS.

GWEN BARLEE SAYS PARKS GENERATE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS...

"a lot of that money goes back into general revenue, it definitely doesn't go into the parks budget so we're saying people in b-c already pay for provincial parks through our tax dollars, parks more than pay for themselves but again the money is just going back into general revenue. the government has done lots of polling on just how important b-c parks are to the citizens of this province and you just don't see that reflected in their actions."

SPEAKING ON CFAX 1070 WITH ADAM STIRLING SHE SAYS B-C IS DEAD LAST WHEN YOU COMPARE OUR PARKS SYSTEM TO OUR NEIGHBOURS--ALASKA AND WASHINGTON STATE.

THE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED FEE INCREASES FOR B-C PARKS BEGINNING APRIL 1ST.

THAT INCLUDES CAMPING, BACK COUNTRY HIKING, AND SANITATION.
