Volunteer and Development Coordinator

Lorena (she/her) currently resides in Vancouver on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ territories.

 

Lorena is the Volunteer and Development Coordinator at the Wilderness Committee, where she plans, organizes and builds strong relationships with volunteers and donors to support people-powered environmental campaigns. She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs and has worked with governments, NGOs and international organizations in Canada and South America. A lifelong human rights and social justice advocate, she joined the Wilderness Committee because she believes in the power of people to create positive change for communities and the environment. She is passionate about connecting people, fostering community and helping others get involved in protecting the environment. Outside of work, she is a big fan of the great outdoors. She’s likely chasing sunsets at the beach, dancing salsa, exploring new hiking trails or planning her next adventure abroad.
