Monday, October 15, 1990

The report announces a Penan tour of various countries seeking support for rainforest protection in Malaysia and the release of a new book entitled: Penan - Voices for the rainforest.

Never-the-less the Penan continue to try and protect their dwindling forest. Their lastest initiative is the Penan Peace Park, which has been designated by the Penan people. Sadly, the government of Malaysia does not recognize this tribal park and logging pressure continues.
