Koksilah River Grove Day Hike, Cowichan Tribes Territory
If you’re on southern Vancouver Island, join us for a day trip to an intact old-growth forest. This low-difficulty guided hike through an ancient Douglas-fir forest will take your breath away — both the views and the lack of protection for these ancient ecosystems. You’ll carpool to Koksilah, about one hour north of Victoria, and participate in a 2.5-3 hour guided hike with nature interpretation along the way and a break for a snack along the river.

Catchacoma Old-Growth Forest Bathing Hike
Our fall hike in Catchacoma Forest will feature guided forest bathing activities with Beth McKinley, a trained Forest and Nature Therapist. We will engage in mindful nature connection to help slow down, de-stress and immerse ourselves in the sights, sounds, textures and smells of the forest. Forest bathing has been shown to boost the immune system, lower blood pressure and help with anxiety. The hike will go on from 1 to 4 p.m. and will begin from Catchacoma Forest trail head parking lot in Peterborough County.
