Rally: Citizens call on Trudeau to scrap Kinder Morgan review

BURNABY, BC - Local residents, First Nations representatives and environmental groups will rally outside the National Energy Board (NEB) hearings for Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline project to call on the Prime Minister to keep his promise and scrap the flawed federal review process. This event represents the culmination of a week of protests against the pipeline and broken pipeline assessment process.

WHO:         Speakers will be available for interviews:

  • Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Kwantlen First Nations members
  • Local representatives from the BC and Federal NDP, City of Burnaby and City of Vancouver
  • Local high school students, representatives of environmental groups, and other activists

VISUALS: Speeches, signs and hundreds of citizens protesting the flawed NEB process and the Kinder Morgan pipeline proposal.

This event is being held on unceded Coast Salish Territories.
